Typocom were appointed by Manchester Metropolitan University to create the visual identity and website to showcase the digital output of MMU. Digital Innovation is a digital doorway to everything digital that is going on in and around Manchester and beyond.

The visual identity sets the tone of the site, clean and not cluttered, vibrant and not static.

The site has a deliberate 'newsy' feel - multiple stories are published each day with good editorial and contemporary pictorial content. The key element of the overall site design was to feature as much news stories and social media feeds as possible without the site looking cluttered and clumsy, allowing the browser to easily assimilate the information through an enjoyable experience. This is achieved through three clear and colour coded channels of information - Education, Research, Business.

Working alongside our digital development partners Tariff Street, we've enabled content syndication and easy editorial control by creating a bespoke CMS.
